Convert an Arabic PDF lecture to editable Word

A practical workflow for Arabic PDF to Word: identify scanned pages, use OCR, and review reading order, dates and formatting.

Check the source first

Try selecting a sentence in your PDF reader. Selectable text usually contains a text layer; a page that behaves like one picture may need OCR. Some files mix both types. Start with one representative page before converting a long lecture.

Convert a small sample

Open PDF to Word below, upload the PDF and select a page with a heading and body text. Keep Arabic + English OCR enabled for scanned content. Choose Word rather than plain text if you need paragraphs and supported styling.

Review Arabic reading order

Open the DOCX in Word. Check a complete sentence, punctuation, English terms and dates. For example, تأكد من التاريخ 2026/09/30 should keep the Arabic words readable and the date in its intended order. Check names against the PDF; OCR can confuse visually similar letters.

Review layout before sharing

Compare headings, paragraph breaks, tables and photographs with the source. Supported graphics can remain images while recognized text stays editable. Multi-column layouts, decorative fonts and scanned captions can need corrections. Once the sample is acceptable, convert the remaining pages.
