Practical guide
Build readable lecture slides from a PDF
Choose editable lecture slides or original page images, set text size and theme, and review figures and speaker notes before presenting.
Choose between editing and page appearance
Lecture slides mode creates editable text, uses detected source headings and moves long content onto continuation slides. Original pages mode places each PDF page as an image on one slide: its words cannot be edited separately. Choose the latter when the exact page appearance matters more than rewriting or teaching from the content.
Convert one representative page first
Open PDF to PowerPoint and choose a page with a heading, body text and a figure. Select Lecture slides, a theme and a text size. Keep Arabic + English OCR enabled when the words are inside scanned page images. Check this sample in PowerPoint before processing the whole lecture.
Balance slide count and readable text
Large uses 28-point body text, Balanced 24-point and Compact 20-point. Larger text produces more continuation slides. For example, one dense source page can become a heading slide followed by several text slides. Reducing the slide count by crowding a slide can make it harder to teach from; check the presentation at the screen size your audience will use.
Choose a design for your room
Academic uses a light background with teal accents; Paper uses a warm light design; Dark uses a dark background. A theme changes the slide styling, not the lecture's meaning. Check contrast on your projector and inspect mixed Arabic and English terms, especially line breaks beside numbers or abbreviations.
Review figures independently from paragraphs
Keep figures enabled when diagrams and photographs are important. Compare each detected figure, its proportions and its caption with the PDF. A diagram containing labels is not the same as a paragraph. If the source is a complex annotated page, original page images may be a more reliable visual reference.
Use notes without assuming the lecture was summarized
Extracted source text is also kept in speaker notes. The tool divides content to fit slides; it does not automatically summarize, verify facts or create a new teaching explanation. Read notes and slide order, correct recognition errors and add your own teaching examples before presenting.
Split very long lectures into sections
Lecture conversion accepts up to 100 selected PDF pages and stops if the result would exceed 300 slides. If that happens, select a smaller page range and convert sections separately. Dense pages can produce many slides even when the PDF has relatively few pages. Save the original alongside the presentation so missing details can be checked.
